Industrial services firm expands with takeover
An industrial services group has expanded with a takeover.
Metcor Group has bought Direct Pump Services.
The deal was completed for an undisclosed sum.
Based in High Wycombe, Direct Pump Services provides clean and wastewater installation, maintenance and repair support.
Gravesend-headquartered Metcor Group maintains and upgrades sites including offices, warehouses, factories, energy plants and shopping centres.
It has further bases in Maidenhead, Stockport, Leigh, Rainham and Kempston, in Bedfordshire.
Mike Shaw, Direct Pump Services co-founder, said: “Joining Metcor marks an exciting new chapter; we’re confident this partnership will strengthen our offer and create new opportunities for customers and their clients.”
Cheadle Hulme-based corporate finance firm Camlee Group advised Direct Pump Services on the sale, with Liverpool and Manchester law firm Bermans providing legal support.
Metcor was advised by Hull-based law firm Gosschalks and RSM UK.
Laura McMorland, of Bermans, added: “We were pleased to assist Mike and co-founder Jason on the sale to Metcor Group.
“We wish the business all the best for its continued success.”
