Law firm expands with 'significant' acquisition
A law firm has bolstered operations with a takeover.
Gilson Gray has bought Wyllie & Henderson.
The company says the move for the Perth-based firm “marks a significant step in its expansion”.
It adds the deal will bolster Edinburgh-headquartered Gilson Gray’s presence across Tayside, with Wyllie & Henderson strengthening its offer across residential and commercial property, wills and power of attorney matters.
Under the terms of the deal, Wyllie & Henderson consultants Ian Lindsay and Angela Scott have joined Gilson Gray alongside eight staff.
Legal director Sandra Teall has also transferred from Dundee.
Lindsay Darroch, partner and head of Gilson Gray’s Dundee office, said: “As we continue to build our presence across Tayside, Wyllie & Henderson’s approach fits with how we work.
“At a time when many firms are scaling back, it’s exciting to be investing and growing, giving clients greater access to expertise and support.”
Ian added: “Joining Gilson Gray is an important step for our team and our clients.
“It gives us access to a broader range of services while maintaining the relationships clients value.”
Gilson Gray’s office network includes further bases in Aberdeen, Glasgow, Forfar, North Berwick, Lincoln and London.
