Maintenance firm builds presence with takeover
A building maintenance firm has expanded with a takeover.
Cardo Group has bought EFS Systems (UK).
Bosses say the move for the Merthyr Tydfil-based electrical and solar installation and maintenance company bolsters Cardo Group’s “self-delivery capability and presence across Wales and the wider UK”.
Under the terms of the deal, EFS Systems (UK) will continue operating under its existing leadership team.
Headquartered in Cardiff, Cardo Group is known for services including building repairs, retrofit and energy efficiency upgrades, mechanical, electrical and roofing services, and fire safety works.
Liam Bevan, chief executive at Cardiff-headquartered Cardo Group, said: “This acquisition strengthens our ability to deliver integrated services for clients, while continuing to grow our presence in key regions.
“Just as importantly, it brings in a team with the right values and expertise to support our long-term ambitions.”
Robert Hadley, EFS Systems (UK) managing director, added: “We’ve built a solid reputation for consistent delivery and a hands-on and responsive approach since 2003.
“Being part of Cardo Group allows us to build on that foundation, with access to greater scale, support and opportunities.”
The takeover comes after Cardo Group expanded with a deal for Trident Maintenance Services and secured a place on social landlord L&Q’s Major Works Investment Programme.
