Freeths announces record 97 promotions

Law firm Freeths has announced a record 97 promotions across the firm, including eight new partners and a number of director appointments, as it continues its sustained growth trajectory.

The latest promotions build on last year's round and reflect continued investment in developing talent across the organisation.

Promoted to partner are Ben Gant (real estate, Nottingham), David Laurence (real estate, London), Fiona Powell (employment, Leicester), Hannah Tessyman (corporate, Leicester), Katherine Burge (agricultural property, Oxford), Miles Hacking (restructuring and insolvency, Manchester), Nikki Aston (family, Nottingham) and Rahul Kotecha (trusts, estates and tax, Nottingham).

The firm has also promoted Alex Angelides (tax, Sheffield), Allison Campbell (real estate, Glasgow), Andrew Rathi (housebuilding and strategic land, Nottingham), Dominic Canning (construction and engineering, Leeds), Emma Conwell (planning, Leeds), Fiona Woodhead (corporate, Leeds) and Josh Middleton (commercial dispute resolution, Birmingham) to director roles.

The promotions come as Freeths continues to deliver year-on-year double-digit growth, with the firm highlighting its commitment to career progression, inclusion and long-term investment in its people.

National managing partner Karl Jansen said: “This is a hugely significant promotions round and a great reflection of the strength we have across the firm.

“Each colleague has played a key role in our continued growth, supporting clients on increasingly complex and high-value work.

“Investing in our people is central to our strategy, and this latest round of promotions demonstrates the depth of talent we have as we continue to build for the future.”
