Gilson Gray promotes duo to partner
Edinburgh-headquartered Gilson Gray has promoted two senior lawyers to partner, strengthening its real estate and litigation teams as the firm continues its growth across the UK.
Commercial real estate specialist Gregor Duthie and litigator Stephen Forsyth have both stepped up from legal director roles.
Gregor brings more than 20 years of experience advising investors, developers and occupiers on acquisitions, asset management and development projects, with particular expertise in commercial property and real estate finance.
He said: “In the ten years I have been with the firm, Gilson Gray has built a strong reputation in the market as commercially savvy advisers.
“Becoming a partner allows me to champion the continued growth of both our Glasgow presence and the nationwide real estate team to guide our clients in achieving their goals.”
Stephen has 15 years of experience in litigation and dispute resolution, handling contractual, construction and property disputes as well as personal injury and medical negligence claims.
Stephen added: “The firm has provided a strong platform to develop my practice in Dundee and across Scotland, and I look forward to continuing to support clients while contributing to the ongoing success of the award-winning litigation team.”
The promotions form part of a wider round of 25 advancements across the business, reflecting Gilson Gray’s continued commitment to developing talent from within.
With close to 500 employees across offices in Scotland and England, Gilson Gray has continued to expand nationally while earning a series of recent industry award nominations and wins.
Glen Gilson, chairman and managing partner of Gilson Gray, added: “Stephen and Gregor are both highly regarded lawyers who embody the values and ambition of the firm.
“Their promotions are thoroughly deserved and reflect the strength and depth of talent we have across the business.
“This latest round of promotions demonstrates our commitment to investing in our people and supporting their progression as we continue to expand our presence and offering across Scotland and the UK.”
