Legal firm expands with North East office move
A law firm has expanded with an office move.
Reeds Solicitors LLP has opened a North East base.
The firm says the venture is providing mental health law, criminal defence, family, prison law and Court of Protection support.
Based at Wansbeck Workspace, in Ashington, Northumberland, the office is headed by associate solicitor Zac Sussex alongside solicitor and Law Society mental health panel member Melissa Ida Petty.
Jan Matthews, managing partner at Reeds Solicitors, whose mental health law team provides services across areas including mental health tribunals and hospital manager hearings, said the office “continues the firm’s growth journey”.
He said: “We look forward to supporting the community in Newcastle and its surrounds with all their legal needs.
“We wish Zac, Melissa and the wider team the very best.”
Sarah Griffiths-Jones, partner and head of mental health law, added: “Our new branch is a fantastic milestone and clear evidence of our development as a department.
“This achievement reflects the strength of our business and the dedication, commitment and hard work of everyone involved.”
Reeds Solicitors’ wider office estate includes bases in Cardiff, Coventry, London, Manchester and Oxford.
