'Easy decision' as law firm expands with new office
A law firm has expanded with a new office.
Ison Harrison has opened a base in Penistone, near Barnsley.
Bosses say the South Yorkshire venture “signals a strategic expansion (having) traditionally held a dominant presence across West and North Yorkshire”.
The former Rose and Crown pub site – which dates back to the Domesday Book – represents the firm’s 25th office and follows a Bradford hub launch.
Headed by branch manager Lyndsay Clark, the Market Street office includes a conveyancing department featuring Emma Burnham, Susie Hutton, Amanda Eastwood and Alicia Eastwood.
It also includes a wills and probate division overseen by executive Antony Exley and paralegal Charlie Forrest, with solicitor Holly Dawson managing commercial property matters and Loreena Walker and Abbie Churchill providing family law support.
Lyndsay said: “My team and I joined Ison Harrison earlier in the year with a view to opening and running a new Penistone office, and we were delighted when we were able to secure such a prominent base.
“Having worked as a conveyancer in the town for many years, I’m confident we will be able to provide high-quality legal support to a community we know exceptionally well.”
Jonathan Wearing, Ison Harrison managing director, added: “When the opportunity arose to secure an excellent historic building and a highly-skilled team of local legal professionals with deep roots in the town, it was an easy decision.”
