mfg Solicitors expands corporate team
Midlands law firm mfg Solicitors has expanded its corporate team following sustained growth and a rise in new client wins across the region.
Led by head of corporate Clare Lang, the team has been strengthened over the past year with the appointments of Matt Smith, Philip Chapman, Nick Little and Sophie Thornton.
The growth means the department now comprises five partners and nine additional lawyers.
The expanded team advises owner-managed businesses, corporates and private equity-backed companies on mergers and acquisitions, succession planning, corporate restructurings and investment transactions.
Recent work has included advising on the transition of Grapetree Foods to employee ownership, the sale of The Secret Garden School and Parker Precision Engineering, an investment in Play Revolution and the acquisition of Waterloo Hire.
Clare said: “We have built significant momentum over the past year, growing not only the size of our team, but also the breadth of work we are undertaking for clients.
“The additional experience within the team, combined with our sector focus, means we are well placed to support businesses across the region and nationally.”
mfg Solicitors operates from offices in Worcester, Kidderminster, Bromsgrove, Birmingham, Ludlow, Telford and the Black Country, supporting clients across a range of sectors including manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, technology and professional services.
