McCormicks strengthens property team
North Yorkshire law firm McCormicks Solicitors has strengthened its property team with the promotion of Claire Baker-Kemp to partner and the appointment of Lauren Duxbury as head of residential property.
Based in Harrogate, Claire leads the firm’s commercial property practice and brings extensive experience advising on the acquisition and disposal of commercial property, landlord and tenant matters, lease renewals and land acquisitions.
During her career, she has acted for clients including the NHS, local authorities, property developers, financial institutions and major retailers.
Before joining McCormicks, Claire worked for an investment company, managing the legal aspects of its property portfolio and advising its board on strategic and commercial property matters.
Lauren joins as head of residential property, bringing extensive experience in residential conveyancing.
She has particular expertise in retirement properties, new homes, developer transactions, estate work and high-net-worth residential matters.
Their appointments further strengthen McCormicks' property offering as the firm continues to support commercial and residential clients across North Yorkshire and beyond.
Managing partner Stephen Hopwood said: “We are delighted to recognise Claire’s contribution and strong client relationships and to welcome Lauren who has substantial experience on the residential property side.”
