RECOM fires up growth plans with new hub
A Greater Manchester passive fire protection specialist has expanded its operations with the opening of a new distribution hub.
RECOM Solutions has opened a 2500 sq metre warehouse and office facility at Trafford Park as part of a six-figure investment in its RECOM Fire Solutions division.
The new hub consolidates several smaller North West sites into a single location, increasing storage capacity, improving logistics and strengthening stock management.
The investment also includes an expanded vehicle fleet to support projects nationwide.
Sarah Leadbetter, head of passive fire protection at RECOM Solutions, said: “The opening of our new North West distribution hub is a major milestone for RECOM Fire Solutions.
“It creates greater efficiency through a centralised location, increases storage capacity and improves stock management.
“Trafford Park is an ideal location, as it’s highly accessible and close to our group headquarters in Salford Quays.
“It provides us with a strong base for our next phase of expansion and will contribute to reducing our carbon footprint as a business.”
RECOM Fire Solutions delivers passive fire protection services across the education, healthcare, residential, defence and facilities management sectors, with work including fire stopping, fire door installation and remediation, compartmentation surveys and fire curtain installations.
The Trafford Park opening follows the launch of a Birmingham base earlier this year, extending the division’s reach across the Midlands, M6 corridor and South West.
