Eversheds Sutherland bolsters North West real estate team
Eversheds Sutherland has appointed Brian Ghatan as legal director in its real estate practice group, strengthening its real estate and real estate finance offering in the North West.
Based in the firm’s Manchester office, Brian returns to Eversheds Sutherland, where he trained, after joining from APS Legal, part of Arrow Global Group, where he was head of real estate and finance.
He has also held senior roles at Weightmans and Addleshaw Goddard.
With more than 20 years’ experience, Brian advises lenders, investors, developers and corporate occupiers on a wide range of complex real estate and property finance transactions.
In his new role, he will support the continued growth of the firm’s real estate practice across the region.
Brian said: “I am thrilled to be returning to Eversheds Sutherland at such an exciting time for the real estate practice group.
“Having trained with the firm, it feels particularly special to be coming back in a new capacity.
“Eversheds Sutherland has an outstanding reputation in the real estate market and a genuinely collaborative culture.
“I look forward to working with colleagues across the business to help clients navigate complex real estate and financing transactions and achieve their commercial objectives.”
Brian’s appointment follows the recent promotion of Graham Wallwork to legal director and reflects Eversheds Sutherland’s continued investment in its Manchester real estate team as it expands its expertise to support clients across the North West.
Elizabeth Cartwright, partner at Eversheds Sutherland, added: “We are delighted to welcome Brian back to Eversheds Sutherland.
“His extensive experience across both private practice and in-house roles gives him a deep understanding of the commercial challenges facing clients and the practical solutions they need.
“Brian’s expertise in real estate and real estate finance will further strengthen our national offering and support our continued growth in key markets.
“We look forward to the contribution he will make to our clients and our team.”
