Former United coach joins AI coaching venture

A former Manchester United assistant manager has teamed up with Harry Maguire to help thousands of football coaches improve player feedback using artificial intelligence.

Mike Phelan Coaching (MPC) has partnered with Feedz, the AI-powered platform co-founded by the England defender, with the technology set to be used across its coach education programme.

More than 5000 coaches are expected to access the platform each year through MPC’s events in the UK and the US, with thousands more reached via its online coaching seminars.

Feedz allows coaches to record short voice notes, which are converted into structured performance reports in seconds, reducing administration while making feedback more consistent for players, parents and coaching staff.

The partnership also reunites Mike and Harry, who previously worked together when the former Manchester United coach managed the defender at Hull City.

MPC delivers coach education through practical sessions, classroom seminars, assessments and online learning, with its coaching team including UEFA Pro, A and B licence holders and practitioners with experience across Premier League and international football.

Feedz was co-founded by Matt White, who developed the platform after identifying a need to simplify the feedback process for grassroots coaches while helping young players stay motivated and continue developing their skills.
