Accountancy firm makes 'milestone' office move
An accountancy and advisory firm has relocated to larger city centre premises.
Clive Owen has taken new premises at Gainsborough House on Newcastle’s Grey Street, joining a growing list of occupiers at the Adderstone Group-owned building.
The move follows a period of rapid growth for the firm’s Newcastle office, which opened in October 2024 with a single member of staff and has since expanded to a team of 13, prompting the search for larger premises in the city centre.
It also comes after Clive Owen last week unveiled a Darlington headquarters move.
Stephen Harris, who leads the Newcastle office for Clive Owen, said: “The move to Grey Street is a real milestone.
“We wanted a base that reflected the calibre of the team we've built here and the clients we work with, and Gainsborough House does exactly that.
“It’s a fantastic environment, in a fantastic location, and it gives us the room to keep growing.”
Clive Owen provides audit, tax, accounts, consulting and corporate finance services from offices in Newcastle, Darlington, Durham, Middlesbrough and York.
Its arrival continues strong demand for office space at Gainsborough House, which is home to a range of businesses including Bauer Media Group, Pegasus Group and Pizza Punks.
Grace Thompson, leasing manager at Adderstone Management, added: “Gainsborough House has built up a community of high-calibre businesses, and Clive Owen has settled into a beautiful suite as another big hitter.”
