Law firm makes ‘statement of intent’ with office move

A law firm has strengthened its commitment to the Black Country with a move to larger offices following growing demand for its services.

mfg Solicitors will relocate to Custom House at Brierley Hill’s Waterfront development, building on its initial investment in the area 12 months ago.

Bosses say the move, which follows growth in its Black Country client base, “will provide an excellent platform” for the firm to build on its success and strengthen its long-term commitment to the region’s business community.

Its local team is led by partners Tim Lang, an employment specialist, real estate expert Sarah Bradford and corporate solicitor Philip Chapman.

Further recruitment is planned in the coming months as mfg looks to expand its Black Country offering and attract more talent to The Waterfront.

Tim said: “The response from our Black Country clients and the wider business community has been outstanding over the past year.

“Our move to Custom House is a clear statement of intent and demonstrates our confidence in the region’s future.

“We’ve built strong relationships across the Black Country and are proud to be supporting ambitious businesses and individuals.

“More than anything, the new office will provide an excellent platform for further expansion and investment in both our people and our services.”

The firm now employs more than 260 people across seven offices in Worcester, Birmingham, Kidderminster, Bromsgrove, the Black Country, Ludlow and Telford.

The expansion comes as mfg has been named a finalist in the Professional Service Business of the Year category at the 2026 Black Country Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.
