Sheffield law firm finds ‘perfect home’ in HQ move

A South Yorkshire law firm has found the “perfect home” for its continued growth after moving into a landmark Sheffield building.

Taylor Emmet has opened its new headquarters at the historic Isaacs Building on Charles Street, relocating to a 14,885sq ft office with space for 150 desks and 16 meeting rooms.

The move brings the firm into the seven-storey Edwardian building, which was constructed in 1904 and 1905 for wallpaper merchant David Isaacs.

Its historic brick and terracotta façade has been retained as part of the building’s redevelopment through Sheffield’s Heart of the City masterplan.

Taylor Emmet’s new headquarters reduces its overall office footprint by 7040sq ft while providing more flexible spaces designed to support collaboration, communication and employee wellbeing.

The BREEAM Very Good-rated building is connected to Sheffield’s District Energy Network, providing a more sustainable source of energy.

Meeting rooms and pods have been named after Sheffield’s rivers, landmarks, neighbourhoods, heritage and parks, while the main training and meeting space is called The Foundry in recognition of the city’s industrial past.
