Ward Hadaway welcomes seven newly qualified solicitors

Law firm Ward Hadaway has appointed seven newly qualified solicitors following the successful completion of their training contracts with the business.

Five are based in Newcastle, with Abigail McAllister joining the private client team, Anna Thorp moving into social housing and Dania Abu-Harb joining commercial litigation.

Ella Edmunds has qualified into the housing team, while Sophie Edgar joins employment.

Sophie said: “Completing my training contract with Ward Hadaway has given me the opportunity to learn from experienced lawyers across the firm and build my confidence across a range of legal work.

“The support I have received from colleagues and the emerging talent team has made a real difference throughout the process, particularly as I moved between seats and began to think about where I wanted to qualify.

“I’m really pleased to be continuing my career with the firm and to be joining the employment team as a newly qualified solicitor.”

Meanwhile, Elizabeth Swales has qualified into the employment team in Leeds, with Laurence Colgan joining commercial litigation in Manchester.

The appointments span several of the firm’s key practice areas and follow training contracts that provide experience across different departments and offices before successful candidates move into permanent roles.

Ward Hadaway, which has offices in Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle and Teesside, says the latest appointments reflect its continued investment in developing legal talent across its regional network.
