Knights appoints family law partner

Legal and professional services business Knights has strengthened its family law team in Cheltenham with the appointment of Helen Benussi as partner.

Helen brings extensive legal and financial expertise to the role, having worked as a tax accountant for 15 years before qualifying as a lawyer in 2014.

She subsequently spent 12 years managing a specialist family law firm focused on divorce matters.

Her financial background supports her work examining clients’ and their spouses’ finances, including identifying unusual transactions and discrepancies in complex cases.

Alongside financial matters arising from divorce and separation, Helen specialises in children cases, including those where children have become isolated from a parent during divorce proceedings.

Helen said: “Having run a law firm for 12 years, I wanted to join an organisation that matched my own values in business.

“It is important to me to know that my clients will be well looked after.

“At Knights, I can focus on client work without being distracted by the management of the business.”

Andy Day, regional client services director at Knights, added: “I’m very excited to see Helen join Knights – in what is a major coup for our Cheltenham office.

“Helen is a real expert in her field, and she will only add to the already premium family experience our clients achieve – both locally, in Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds, but also further afield.

“Helen’s appointment is another clear example of our organisation’s determination to bring in the very best, high-quality individuals across the regions – generating organic growth through investment in our people.”
