bk plus has bought Sephton Accountants, an independent firm based in Marston Green, as part of its ongoing national expansion strategy.
The practice provides accountancy, corporate and personal tax, VAT, bookkeeping, audit and payroll services to businesses and individuals.

bk plus has acquired Sephton Accountants, an independent firm based in Marston Green, as part of its ongoing national expansion strategy.
The practice provides accountancy, corporate and personal tax, VAT, bookkeeping, audit and payroll services to businesses and individuals.
Led by partners Steve Connell and Darren Carter, Sephton has established a longstanding client base, with a focus on maintaining close relationships and continuity of service.
As part of the deal, the team will remain at its existing Solihull premises, with clients continuing to work with their established advisers while gaining access to additional specialist services across the wider bk plus network.
Steve said: “We have always been clear about what kind of firm we want to be, personal, responsive and genuinely useful to the businesses we work with.
“That has not changed, and it will not change.
“The reason joining bk plus made sense is that it does not ask us to be something different.
“What it offers is access to a wider pool of expertise that we can bring to clients when they need it.
“For businesses that are growing, that matters.
“Tax gets more complex, corporate structures need advice, succession planning comes into the picture.
“We can now handle more of that ourselves rather than referring it elsewhere. Sephton stays Sephton. We have just got more to offer.”
The acquisition follows last week’s takeover of Hornchurch-based Havard & Associates, which expanded the group’s presence in East London and Essex.
bk plus now operates more than 62 offices nationwide, employing over 1000 people and providing accountancy and advisory services to SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
Shaun Knight, chief executive of bk plus, added: “Sephton is a firm that has worked out what it wants to be and then consistently delivered it.
“That is harder than it sounds, and the result is a practice with real loyalty from its clients and its people.
“What attracted us was the consistency.
“A stable, experienced team, a clear service model and a track record of steady, sustainable growth.
“Those are the things that tell you a firm is well run.
“The West Midlands is an important market for bk plus, and Sephton gives us a high quality, well-regarded home in Solihull.”
