Irwin Mitchell partner joins STEP Council
Leeds-based Irwin Mitchell partner Andrea Jones has been appointed to the STEP Council for England and Wales, representing Yorkshire, the North East and Cumbria.
Andrea, who is national head of private client advisory at the law firm, will serve a three-year term from January 1.
She brings more than 20 years’ experience advising families, business owners and entrepreneurs on estate planning, wealth protection and succession matters.
Her appointment follows 12 years on the STEP Yorkshire committee, including three years as branch chair.
In her new role, Andrea will represent the region’s private client professionals within STEP, a global organisation supporting lawyers, accountants, trustees and other specialists working with families on long-term financial and estate planning.
She said: “I have been part of STEP for many years and I am delighted to join STEP Council so I can contribute to the continued success of our profession and STEP’s membership.
“It is a privilege to represent members across Yorkshire, the North East and Cumbria, and I look forward to championing the region’s private client community.
“As a partner at a STEP Platinum Employer Partner firm, I have seen first-hand the value that it brings in supporting technical excellence, learning and collaboration across our profession.
“I am passionate about helping to ensure those opportunities continue to benefit both current and future generations of practitioners.”
STEP has more than 23,000 members worldwide and provides professional education, development and opportunities to share expertise.
Irwin Mitchell is also a STEP Platinum Employer Partner, recognising its commitment to developing private client specialists and maintaining professional standards across its teams.
