MSB Solicitors appoints business crime chief
Manchester law firm MSB Solicitors has strengthened its business crime and investigations practice with the appointment of Scott Turner-Percy as head of business crime.
Scott brings more than a decade of experience advising corporations, financial institutions, senior executives and high-net-worth individuals on fraud, financial crime and regulatory investigations.
His expertise spans corporate criminal liability, asset recovery, regulatory enforcement and cross-border investigations.
Throughout his career, he has worked on major fraud and financial crime cases involving allegations worth hundreds of millions of pounds.
He has also advised clients facing investigations by organisations including the Serious Fraud Office, Financial Conduct Authority, National Crime Agency and HM Revenue & Customs.
Recognised as a Grade A fraud supervisor, Scott combines criminal defence expertise with experience in international investigations and in-house regulatory matters.
In his new role, he will lead the continued expansion of MSB’s business crime and investigations practice, supporting businesses, directors and individuals facing complex financial crime allegations and enforcement action.
Scott said: “I am delighted to be joining MSB at an exciting stage in the firm’s growth and development.
“Businesses and senior decision-makers are operating in an increasingly complex regulatory and enforcement environment.
“Investigations can now involve criminal, regulatory, civil and reputational considerations simultaneously, requiring strategic advice that balances legal risk with commercial realities.
“My focus is on helping organisations and individuals respond confidently to allegations of fraud, financial crime and regulatory misconduct, while supporting them through investigations, enforcement action and periods of significant scrutiny.
“MSB has an excellent reputation for delivering practical, client-focused advice, and I look forward to building a first-class business crime and investigations practice that supports clients both regionally and nationally.”
Scott’s appointment strengthens the firm’s capabilities in fraud defence, corporate investigations and regulatory compliance.
Emma Carey, MSB Solicitors’ managing partner, added: “Scott’s recruitment marks a strategic milestone for us as we look to develop our business crime service offering.
“His experience and the passion he has for his work really stood out to us and we are excited by the opportunities that will be presented by having him on our team.”
