Shakespeare Martineau bolsters corporate team
National law firm Shakespeare Martineau has strengthened its Sheffield corporate team with the appointment of associate Molly Rae.
Molly joins from Knights, where she completed her training contract before qualifying as a corporate solicitor in 2022.
She brings experience across a range of corporate finance matters, including share and asset acquisitions and disposals, management buyouts, employee ownership trusts and solvent restructurings.
Her expertise also extends to general company law, with experience advising on both domestic and cross-border transactions.
Having worked with businesses across a variety of industries, Molly has particular expertise in the manufacturing and healthcare sectors.
In her new role, she will support clients in Sheffield and the wider South Yorkshire region, advising businesses on transactions, investment opportunities, ownership changes and corporate restructuring.
Molly said: “I was attracted to Shakespeare Martineau because of the quality and variety of corporate work being undertaken by the team, and the opportunity to work with a broad range of businesses across the region.
“I’m looking forward to bringing my experience to the role while continuing to develop my career.
“It’s an exciting time to join, with the Sheffield office growing both within corporate and across its wider specialisms, and I’m looking forward to contributing to that growth.”
Molly’s appointment adds further expertise to Shakespeare Martineau’s corporate offering as the firm continues to support businesses navigating growth, investment and succession planning.
Matt Ainsworth, corporate partner at Shakespeare Martineau in Sheffield, added: “Molly brings specialist corporate finance experience and a strong understanding of the needs of businesses across a range of sectors.
“Her experience will be valuable as we continue to support businesses across Sheffield and the wider region.
“She is a strong addition to the team at an exciting time for our Sheffield office, and we’re looking forward to seeing her build on her experience and contribute to the continued growth of our team.”
