Venus Legal strengthens litigation team

Manchester-based litigation law firm Venus Legal has strengthened its growing team with the appointment of Esther Abena Dansoa Amoako as a paralegal.

Esther joins the specialist practice after achieving a first-class law degree from the University of Buckingham and a master’s degree with distinction in Manchester.

She is now working towards qualifying as a solicitor, bringing academic experience alongside a strong commitment to community engagement.

Outside her legal career, Esther is head coach for girls’ football at Coachhene Sports Club and a youth dance instructor at Mustard Seed Chapel.

She also founded a personal fitness brand after winning Miss Fitness Africa in 2017.

Esther said: “Becoming a lawyer has been an ambition of mine since childhood.

“My journey has taken me through several different industries, but I’ve always been driven by a desire to advocate for others and make a positive difference to people’s lives.

“Joining Venus Legal is an exciting next step.

“What particularly attracted me was the firm’s commitment to people, both in the work it does for clients and the opportunities it creates for its team.

“I’m passionate about continuing to develop my legal career, and I want to be part of a business where I can learn, contribute and make a meaningful impact.

“Venus Legal’s ethos of ‘Turning Lives Around’ really resonates with me.”

Esther’s appointment comes during a period of expansion for Venus Legal, which has doubled its workforce over the past year while maintaining a 100 per cent employee retention rate.

The firm specialises in complex litigation, including large-scale group actions, industrial disease, personal injury and military claims.

Recognised in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026, Venus Legal continues to invest in training, mentoring and professional development as it expands its national presence and specialist legal services.

Lorna McGlone, founder and chief executive of Venus Legal, added: “Esther is a fantastic addition to our team and brings exactly the qualities we value at Venus Legal – ambition, determination, compassion and a genuine desire to make a difference.

“As we continue to grow, our focus is on developing our specialist expertise and ensuring we have the right people in place to support our clients.

“That means investing not only in experienced legal professionals but also in the next generation of talent who will help shape the future of our business.

“Esther’s journey is particularly impressive.

“She has demonstrated enormous commitment to achieving her ambition, alongside a genuine passion for supporting and empowering others.

“Her values align closely with our own, and we’re delighted to be supporting her as she takes the next step towards qualifying as a solicitor.”
