Accountant seals largest deal with practice move
An accountancy and business advisory firm has expanded with a takeover.
DJH has bought TWP.
Bosses say the move for the Surrey-based operator represents its “largest-ever acquisition” and has bolstered its presence across the South.
They say the swoop has added annual revenues worth £7 million to its books and 70 staff across offices in Cranleigh, Guildford, Kingston-upon-Thames and Weybridge.
Under the terms of the deal, TWP managing partner Paul Hawksley will remain in post alongside fellow partners Andrew Goddon and Phil Munk.
James Beardmore, chief operating officer at Stoke-on-Trent-headquartered DJH, said: “Surrey has been a target region for us for some time, and this partnership gives us offices and an immediate, well-established presence right across the area.
“TWP has a fantastic reputation for delivering expert support that makes a real difference to budding entrepreneurs, scaling companies and not-for-profit organisations.
“We’re looking forward to supporting Paul, Andrew, Phil and the whole team as they continue to grow across their favoured markets.”
Paul added: “Joining DJH is an incredibly exciting step.
“We’ve spent years building genuine, longstanding relationships with clients, and this partnership lets us protect everything they value about working with us, while opening up a much wider range of specialist expertise.”
The deal follows previous market moves by DJH, whose office network includes bases in the East and West Midlands, the North West, South East, South West and Yorkshire.
Earlier this year, it agreed moves that included a swoop for Hereford, Ludlow and Shrewsbury-based accountancy firm Thorne Widgery and Wiltshire-based Gooding Accounts.
