Chris is Distribution Director for AXA PPP healthcare where he is responsible for distribution of the healthcare company’s intermediated and corporate business, its Health Services division (offering workplace wellbeing, counselling, occupational health and rehabilitation services) and its health insurance distribution businesses – the Permanent Health Company (PHC), SecureHealth and The Health Insurance Group (THIG). Before rejoining AXA in 2014, Chris was Managing Director of Care at Partnership – the UK’s largest provider of long term care insurance. Chris is a recognised expert and commentator on adult social care and long term care insurance, regularly contributing to the debate around the issue of social care funding. He was awarded the Health Insurance Industry Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012. Prior to joining Partnership in 2009, Chris led AXA PPP healthcare’s sales and marketing department, managing the development and distribution of consumer and corporate healthcare products and services in the UK and overseas. He has also served as Managing Director of Denplan – the UK’s leading dental payment plan specialist. A former officer in the Royal Marines, Chris started his career in financial services in the Barclays Bank’s corporate finance division. In 2011, Chris served as a commissioner on Westminster City Council’s Social Care Commission. Led by Baroness Greengross, it was tasked with advising the council on the best way to deliver excellent social care services in the context of an ageing population, reducing resources and rising public expectations.
