Sunderland businesses sing to the tune of £18m
An expected 250,000 music fans will descend on Sunderland over the coming months bringing in a reported £18m boost to the city’s economy.
200,000 people will reportedly flock into Sunderland at the end of May when Robbie Williams returns to the stage with Take That at the Stadium of Light.
June will then see a predicted 50,000 crowd to take in Nashville super stars Kings of Leon.
Many hotels have said they are fully booked and bars, restuarants, shops and taxis are all set to benefit.
Research has revealed that day visitors will spend £25 during their stay on average, with those staying overnight spending £125.
