Teesside’s top businesswomen pooling their resources

Jo Hand of Redcar, the managing director of Jo Hand Recruitment and Nicky Jolley from Stapleton near Darlington, the HR director of HR2day, have now gone into partnership together where Jo employs Nicky’s services to help manage the human resources side of Jo Hand Recruitment, as well as for her clients, and Nicky uses Jo’s services as a recruiter when her clients ask for help.

Nicky said: “Jo bends over backwards in her line of work. She doesn’t just stop at recruitment.

“I work on a risk basis – reducing the risk while reducing the cost as well. Having a human resources service helps to avoid any procrastination that in turn wastes valuable time and money.”

Jo says there is a need for a high quality human resources freelance company to work alongside businesses.

“We often get requests from our clients regarding giving them HR support as well as providing a recruitment service to them, we can now introduce Nicky who can service our clients’ needs in this area.

“She often gets asked to support on recruitment with many of her clients. It’s a perfect partnership”.

Jo formed Jo Hand Recruitment LTD in February 2006, after spending many years working at all levels of a top recruitment agency.

She said: “Although it was challenging setting up my own business I believed I could achieve what I’ve always wanted to do. Now with a multi-million pound turnover I have.”
