Free Seminars To Assist Disability Practitioners

A first in a series of groundbreaking seminars focusing on learning retention and assistive technology is to take place in London this month.

Aimed at special educational needs workers, disability practitioners and support groups, the free all day event will provide attendees with an opportunity to obtain leading research including a detailed research project on effective learning and retention processes. T

he host, assistive technology specialist, e-Quality Learning, has been working with users who have diverse learning needs and has developed a unique approach to training disabled learners in the use of assistive technology to enhance learning and increase retention. The seminar will be taking place from 8:30am – 16:30pm in London’s Bloomsbury Holiday Inn on 26th November 2012.

Chris Quickfall, managing director at e-Quality Learning, explains: “We aim to provide industry workers with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges facing learners of all abilities. The more we know about these issues the better we can help.

“It is an exciting time for assistive technology and our collaborative research team will be unveiling never before seen research into how people of differing abilities take-in, process and retain information.

“There will be plenary sessions with an academic research team, eminent Neuropsychologist John Welch and up to date information on processes and services from Student Finance England. We will also have exhibitors demonstrating the latest software in assistive technology applications.”

Chris added: “The seminar will also offer insight and awareness on the administration of Disabled Student Allowances and the more general services delivered to disabled students. We hope to see a range of guests interested in getting as much as possible from assistive technology. As we are experts in the field of assistive technology training, all attendees will receive a CPD certificate.

“From our extensive research we have compiled a unique approach when it comes to assistive technology and we would like to demonstrate the choices and flexibility currently being offered to learners through e-Quality Learning.”

Additional seminars will be taking place in Birmingham and Leeds. To register your interest please visit: www.events.e-qualitylearning.com
