Cheshire Professionals launch new corporate membership organisation
Over 130 people attended the Cheshire Professionals launch last Thursday to learn about the new corporate membership organisation set up to support the professional services community in Cheshire.
The launch event took place at the Innovation Centre, (Sci-tech), Daresbury. Attendees to the event received presentations from Nigel Haddon Chair of Cheshire Professionals, John Leake from Sci-tech. Barrie Kelly from Marketing Cheshire and Howard Hopwood Deputy Chair of the Cheshire & Warrington LEP.
Nigel Haddon Chair of Cheshire Professionals commented:
“Cheshire is home to a myriad of large and small, experienced professional service organisations that before the launch of Cheshire Professionals were not supported, in our region, by a professional network.”
“We believe that in order to support Cheshire’s plans for economic growth we need to work harder to retain business in Cheshire and ensure that we are cross referring work to each other. It will be beneficial to all our members to support a network that shares information with regards large projects affecting the area.”
“We are looking forward to working alongside other key regional organisations such as the Cheshire Business Leaders and the Cheshire & Warrington LEP for the benefit of the Cheshire and Warrington region.”
Barrie Kelly, Director of Marketing at Marketing Cheshire continued:
“We are delighted to be working with Cheshire Professionals. The financial and business services sector is a major part of the Cheshire & Warrington economy and we look forward to Cheshire Professionals playing an important and strategic role at the forefront of economic development activities in Cheshire & Warrington and the North West.”
The group consists of an array of professional services providers including lawyers, banks, accountants, financial advisers and commercial
property agents.
The objectives of Cheshire Professionals are:
- To promote the quality of professional advisors in Cheshire, growing their reputation and maximising work retained and referred amongst local advisors and assisting in the winning of work from outside the region.
- To build a referral network amongst Cheshire professionals which facilitates the above and prevents the leaching of professional services work into regional city centres
- To provide soft landings in Cheshire for new companies and individuals investing in the area through the opening of networks and doors
- To be a lobbying group, influencer and supporter of business organisations and business initiatives (eg. Cheshire & Warrington LEP)
Cheshire Professionals would like to hear from organisations that would like to play their part in further developing an already thriving professional services community. For more information visit www.cheshire-professionals.com.
