Bristol marketing company acquires Duttons design firm
South West design company, Duttons, has been acquired by marketing communications business, SAINT NICKS, which was only founded last year.
The Bristol-based buyer was founded by former managing director of McCann Erickson Bristol, Fraser Bradshaw, who said the deal with Duttons is a significant move in SAINT NICKS future growth plans.
With over 20 employees and offices next to Bristol’s main train station, Temple Meads, the company boasts big name clients such as mobile operator, Three, and Australian-themed club chain, Walkabout.
The purchase was secured for an undisclosed sum, and came alongside the appointment of new head of digital, Nick Livingstone and former creative director of McCann Erickson, John Heywood, who will also join the Bristol team.
Dutton’s management team will be incorporated into SAINT NICKS, while Fraser Bradshaw will become chief executive, as well as retaining this role for creative network firm, Bristol Media.
Mr Bradshaw commented: “We are delighted that Duttons has joined SAINTNICKS. It’s great to have such respected senior people in the agency.
“We have produced some great work this year and we trust that our planning focus and a confident, creative product will enable us to be really progressive for our clients.”
Felicity Kelly, managing director of Duttons, welcomed the move and said the integration was exciting for both companies.
She said the acquisition will bring their strengths in brand design together with strategic planning and digital capability at SAINT NICKS, to create a “compelling combination.”
SAINT NICKS added that it will keep its offices in Farringdon to service its leisure and hospitality clients in London.
Mr Bradshaw concluded: “There’s a lot of opportunity in the region and we are enjoying making a
real contribution to the agency scene. We feel fortunate to have a really talented and committed team in the agency right now.”
