DLA Piper in major Integrated Dental Holdings appointment
DLA Piper’s corporate team has been appointed by Europe’s largest dental corporate company, Integrated Dental Holdings (IDH), to join its panel to assist in managing a comprehensive programme of M&A activity throughout the UK.
The appointment is the result of a tender process instigated by Liz McDonald, General Counsel to IDH, following her recent arrival at the business.
Lawyers from across the firm’s Sheffield and Manchester offices, led by partners Catherine Simister and Jonathan Watkins, will act for IDH on a significant number of dental practice acquisitions to the group’s current portfolio over the next four years.
Catherine Simister, partner in the Sheffield Corporate team, leads the relationship alongside Jonathan Watkins. Simister said: “IDH is an ambitious, highly acquisitive business which has developed a clear expansion strategy to achieve significant growth in the next three to four years.
“Our knowledge and expertise in the sector combined with our geographic spread means we are well positioned to advise IDH as they take their commercial plans to the next level.”
Liz McDonald, general counsel at IDH, added: “The DLA Piper team was able to illustrate a strong understanding of our commercial objectives and the market in which we operate.
“Their ability to act quickly and cohesively to make an impact from the start of the relationship has meant that the team is playing an instrumental part in our growth going forward.”
Based in Manchester, IDH is Europe’s largest dental corporate company. It provides a comprehensive range of treatments through a network of over 500 dental practices and serves over 10 million patients nationwide.
