The 20 Best Organisations for HR… EVER!
To celebrate their centenary, the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and their official magazine People Management assembled a crack squad of academics and practitioners to identify companies and bodies that have truly revolutionised working life over the past 100 years.
And we are very pleased to note that local Investors in People, the Co-operative Group and Nissan are on the list!
But how do you decide which organisations have been the true exemplars of HR practice over the past century? Well they were judged in four different areas, spanning the entire 100 years from 1913 onwards including:
- A strong reputation for treating staff (and other stakeholders) well over time
- A history of HR innovation, either generally or in specific areas
- Recognition for HR practice, including awards
- Commercial impact of HR practice on the wider organisation.
