EEF calls for Yorkshire manufacturing award entries
EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation has called for Yorkshire entries to the 2013 EEF Future Manufacturing Awards.
The Future Manufacturing Awards, now in their fifth year, are recognised as the leading awards programme in the manufacturing sector.
It offers manufacturers and apprentices from across the UK the opportunity to showcase their achievements across eight different award categories: business growth, people and skills, innovation, export, health and safety, environment, apprentices and young engineering students.
A number of new awards, such as Partnership in Education and Sustainable Manufacturing, and a new Health and Safety category, have been added to further align the awards with current sector trends.
The EEF awards, sponsored by Aldermore Bank, are free to enter and provide many opportunities to win. They will be judged in six regions across the UK and regional winners will be announced at celebration events in November.
The regional winners will then compete for the national awards at a prestigious ceremony in London in January 2014.
Both regional and national winners and runners-up gain high profile publicity for their business, as well as the accolade of winning a prestigious industry award.
Andy Tuscher, regional director for Yorkshire, said: “The Future Manufacturing Awards has established itself as the biggest and most prestigious event in the manufacturing sector.
“This is our time to celebrate our manufacturing champions and the young apprentices who are shaping the future, and I challenge all Yorkshire manufacturers to step up and submit an entry.”
Sponsors of the individual awards include Westfield Health, JAM Recruitment, ENER-G and Rolls-Royce.
