The week’s North West appointments

Last week saw a number of moves and appointments in the North West. Here, Bdaily gives a roundup of some of the significant manoeuvres.

Law firm DWF recruited former Eversheds International chairman, David Gray, onto its board as non-executive director.

Mr Gray officially joined the firm at the beginning of May, and his arrival followed a string of successful mergers and acquisitions at the firm.

Dr John Ashcroft joined Greater Manchester’s Chamber of Commerce as their chief economist, it was announced on Wednesday.

He will keep on his role as chief executive at pro-manchester and will work with the chamber on a part-time basis.

Chamber chief executive Clive Memmott said this collaboration will be “the blueprint for the future.”

Professor Michael Luger is also reported to have announced his retirement from his role as director of Manchester Business School after six years in the job.
