Shulmans’ QCAS lands two coveted conveyancing awards
QCAS, the conveyancing division of Leeds commercial law firm Shulmans LLP, has scooped two awards at this year’s Law Firm Services (LFS) Conveyancing Awards.
The firm was awarded a bronze award in the Best Regional Conveyancer category, and also took bronze in the Best Direct Conveyancer category for the second year in a row.
LFS’ annual event, which took place at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, recognises the UK’s top performing conveyancers.
Head of QCAS, Victoria Mortimer, said: “We are thrilled to have won these two awards. The Shulmans team work extremely hard to provide a first-class service to all of our clients, and these awards are a reflection of this.
“In recent months we’ve seen many properties previously in abeyance coming live.
“It’s certainly a sellers’ market at present, which of course leads to price increases and can also bring about undesirable practices like gazumping.”
In July this year, the firm brought on two experienced solicitors and three new assistants.
Charlotte Hart joined the firm after six years with Leeds-based O’Rourke Reid, where she specialised in developments and purchasing sales, both leasehold and freehold.
Matthew Dickenson, a solicitor specialising in transactional conveyancing, joined after five years of gaining experience in other law firms. Further hires are in the pipeline.
