29 DWF Leeds partners recognised in top legal guide
Business law firm DWF has had 29 Leeds associates and partners noted as leaders in their fields in an independent guide to the UK legal market, Chambers UK 2014, which was published this week.
The 2014 rankings highlight 29 associates and partners in the Leeds team as having the highest level of knowledge and expertise in their respective areas, which include: banking litigation, banking & finance, charities, construction, corporate/M&A, employment, health & safety, healthcare: transactional, litigation, pensions, personal injury: mainly defendant, planning, private client, real estate, real estate litigation, restructuring/insolvency, social housing, tax
Newly added for this year are: Steve Appleton (private client), Matthew Brown (restructuring and insolvency), Julie Cowan-Clark (social housing), Rupert Nevin (health and safety), Ian O’Toole (pensions) and Mini Setty (employment).
Nationally, the firm has the fourth most rankings of any UK law firm beating Magic Circle, national and City firms.
A total of 141 DWF partners are identified as experts in their specialist areas including 23 partners newly recognised in the guide.
The firm, which has experienced a year of remarkable growth through four strategic mergers and an acquisition, has been recommended in 89 practice areas overall, a 10 per cent increase on last year’s results.
