Darlington Building Society plan major investment in Stockton branch

Darlington Building Society is making a major investment in upgrading its Stockton branch office into a modern customer-focussed environment designed.

The firm is keen to demonstrate its commitment to the town and is playing its part in making Stockton town centre a more desirable place to visit.

The new layout will offer members a number of choices in terms of service options from the traditional counter, comfortable one to one discussion areas and completely confidential interview rooms.

In addition new décor designed to appeal to both the older and younger person using a well thought out mix of modern and traditional styles is planned.

Television screens will provide factual information on the Society’s products and services as well as highlighting the important role Darlington Building Society plays in supporting its local communities throughout the region.

The work is scheduled to commence early in the New Year and during the course of the refurbishment the branch will continue to work normal hours so any impact on customers will be minimal.

Paul Richardson, Darlington Building Society operations director, said: “This is the next phase of the rolling programme of refurbishments and upgrades of our branch network following the successful completion of the works at our Tubwell Row branch in Darlington.

“At a time when some town centres are struggling through a lack of investment Darlington Building Society believes that this is a good time to take the opposite approach to the benefit of Stockton and the Society’s members, both new and old.”
