Taylor&Emmet Extends SYHR Network to Doncaster
The success of a networking group for people managers, run by employment law experts at Taylor&Emmet LLP, has prompted extra events to be added in the Doncaster area.
SYHR Network has become so popular that the Sheffield-based solicitors are launching a series of seminars in Doncaster for local businesses.
The firm is kicking off with a Managing Absence Master Class on July 15, which will be held at Doncaster Racecourse. Aimed at HR professionals, the free breakfast event will offer practical tips and suggestions about how to overcome common problem areas. It will cover a range of issues, from dealing with malingerers to addressing how to tackle absence or grievances in a disciplinary situation.
Jenny Arrowsmith, Taylor&Emmet partner and employment law specialist, leads the SYHR Network seminars. She said: “Our group has been growing steadily since its launch two years ago and we are now seeing a wider geographic spread among those attending seminars and joining the group. We have always chosen easily accessible locations, close to the M1 network, but following a rise in interest from Doncaster companies, we feel the time is right to host some of our events in the town itself.”
SYHR Network’s next meeting will be held on July 2 at the Holiday Inn in Rotherham. Focusing on employees’ use of social media in the workplace, it will offer advice and information about how to ensure both the content and time spent online is appropriate. Delegates will also learn how to protect their business’ reputation and its legitimate interests.
Both events run from 8am to 10am and include an opportunity for members to network and ask questions of Taylor&Emmet’s employment law experts. To find out more about SYHR Network, or to make a reservation, telephone (0114) 218 4000, visit www.syhrnetwork.co.uk or email: events@tayloremmet.co.uk
