Hill Dickinson employment team celebrates contract wins

Leading commercial law firm, Hill Dickinson, has been appointed to deliver employment advice for two landmark organisations.

The firm, which has its headquarters in Liverpool’s St Paul’s Square and an office in Manchester’s city centre, has been instructed by The City of Liverpool College to provide employment support and advice in a three year contract.

The College, which offers a variety of courses from its £100m 6 site campus, and employs almost 1,000 people, will receive strategic and practical employment law advice.

Commenting on the appointment, Elaine Bowker, Chief Executive of The City of Liverpool College, said: “We’ve been hugely impressed by the executive level strategic support we’ve received from Kerstie and the team at Hill Dickinson. This has enabled us to navigate successfully through some challenging times in the sector and ensure we are well positioned moving forward. We see this as very much a partnership appointment which will also deliver opportunities for our students to engage with one of the region’s top law firms.”

Kerstie Skeaping, Employment Partner at Hill Dickinson, added: “We recognise the challenges the education sector faces. This new partnership with the College allows us to build on our substantial sector expertise, deliver value and ensure we remain at the forefront of employment law in the region.”

The College agreement followed the recent retention of employment law services to glass container manufacturer and specialist bottler, Encirc, ensuring a strong start to the year for Hill Dickinson’s North West employment team.

Encirc produces more than 6.5 million glass containers daily, and can fill up to four million litres of bulk shipped beverages every week.

James Currie, HR Director at Encirc, explained: “With almost 1,200 employees across our two sites in Cheshire and Northern Ireland, and a 24 hour operation, it’s essential for us to work with a law firm that provides the highest levels of advice and support. Hill Dickinson has proved it can offer this and more, and we’re looking forward to working with them as Encirc continues to grow and develop through 2015.”
