Senior Appointments Strengthen Genus Law’s Growing Team

Genus Law, the growing modern corporate law firm, has announced a number of senior appointments to further expand its growing team of solicitors. This latest stage in Genus Law’s strategic organic growth widens the company’s service offering to include commercial litigation and further strengthens Genus Law’s corporate and commercial law team.

Euan McConnell – Senior Corporate Solicitor Euan McConnell qualified as a solicitor in 1989 having trained at Wedlake Bell in London. His move to Leeds in 1997 saw him take a position at Irwin Mitchell primarily dealing with corporate finance transactions ranging from mergers and acquisitions to corporate restructuring.

As a former partner at Lupton Fawcett, Euan widened his expertise in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, flotations and public company transactions before moving on to work for a number of other leading national and local firms, including Cobbetts. In recent years Euan gained significant in-house experience including working at LSL Property Services PLC and at HSBC Bank where he advised on global commercial contracts.

Dean Hill – Senior Dispute Resolution Solicitor

Dean Hill joined the legal profession in 2001 as a Paralegal at Walker Morris Solicitors where he spent 18 months before moving to Milners Solicitors and qualifying as a Solicitor in 2005. Thereafter Dean’s career quickly progressed with him becoming a Partner in 2009.

Dean’s entire legal career has been focused on commercial and insolvency dispute resolution and he has vast experience in a wide variety of disciplines. These include general contractual disputes, shareholder and partnership disputes, professional negligence claims, construction disputes and providing advice to individuals, distressed companies and insolvency practitioners.

Amy Tindall – Commercial Solicitor

Amy Tindall qualified at Masons in 2001 and has a breadth of experience in advising public and private sector clients on a range of commercial issues. Whilst working at Beachcrofts and Capsticks, Amy developed a specialism in the health sector, and has advised the Department of Health and some of the largest hospitals in the country on contractual arrangements to best protect their interests and implement cost saving measures.

Amy’s experience demonstrates an ability to interpret and advise on fast moving, policy driven areas of law and provide innovative, solution focused advice. Amy also brings a pragmatic approach and sound understanding of client requirements, having undertaken secondments to public and private sector clients. .

Office Expansion

These new senior additions to Genus Law’s team build on the company’s recent office expansion to take on 3900 sq ft of new office space at Marshalls Mill in Holbeck Urban Village. The new office environment provides a dynamic space within which Genus Law can grow exponentially and broaden the range of corporate legal services on offer to clients.
