Lancashire law firm reappointed as legal panel of National Farmers Union

Lancashire-based solicitors Napthens has been chosen to serve as a legal panel for the National Farmers Union across Cumbria and Lancashire for a another three years.

The law firm, which has offices in Chorley, Preston and Blackpool, received the appointment following a six-month review carried out by the British farming trade association.

Andrew Holden, who is a partner and head of rural business with Napthens, said: “It’s a great privilege to work with the NFU and for its members in delivering legal services.

“The agricultural industry plays an important part in the North West’s economy and we’re proud to have been selected to work hand-in-hand with the NFU to give its members access to quality legal advice and guidance.”

Originally brought on board in 2008, the legal panel was reviewed in 2012 and appointed for another three years.

The director general of the NFU, Andy Robertson, commented: “The NFU’s Legal Panel Service continues to remain an important part of the overall NFU legal services offered to its members.

In working with the NFU, Napthens offers discounts and fixed-fee services for members of the trade association, in addition to advising members on issues like tax and conveyancing.
