NE Procurement recruits Business Administrator
Leading North East public sector procurement consortium, NE Procurement, has added a new business administrator to their ever-growing team to provide further procurement support.
Sarah Mayhew has recently joined the organisation after working at Newcastle College where she completed an apprenticeship in Business Administration in 2013.
Her role will include handling the organisation’s monthly finances, carrying out daily office duties and event organising, as well as working closely with the procurement team to support a range of tendering and contract management projects.
Sarah said: “Procurement is new to me but it’s great learning about the industry from the team. I’ve already had so much support and I’m excited to learn more about the organisation and its work.”
In 2013, the new recruit completed her BTEC Business Administration Level 3 at Newcastle College. She then went on to work in the administration team at Fairhurst Construction before joining NE Procurement.
Rod Brasington, Chief Executive of NE Procurement, said: “We are delighted to have Sarah join our team. She has already impressed everyone with her administration knowledge and enthusiasm and is proving herself to be a great acquisition to the team.”
NE Procurement is a leading North East procurement consortium. Formed in 2008, the organisation enables landlords to purchase labour and/or materials for the maintenance or development of their housing stock through NE Procurement’s frameworks, opening up the possibility of cost savings and efficiency benefits.
