Top Northumbria Law Students Receive Winn Solicitors Award
Annually, Winn Solicitors presents prizes to the Northumbria University students with the best academic performance in Civil Litigation in the M Law Exempting course, and the best performance in Civil Litigation on the Legal Practice Course (LPC).
This year, from the M Law Exempting course, Katie Louise Swinton was awarded the prize, while Jill Christina Owens won the prize from the LPC course.
The ceremony took place at Northumbria Law School, where Solicitor and Supervisor Rebecca Colby presented the winners with their prizes on behalf of the firm.
The winners both received a cash prize from Winns, as well as the opportunity to undertake a work experience placement with the firm.
Rebecca said: “Congratulations to Katie and Jill who both won Winn Solicitors awards this year – their success in civil litigation is a real achievement. As part of the prize, we have offered both the opportunity to join us for a work experience placement with the firm – we look forward to welcoming them. Winns provides fantastic opportunities for career progression, something I have benefited from myself, and a work placement is a fantastic way to get started.”
