Software firm Godel to recruit 100 in Manchester and overseas following 62% turnover growth

Software development company Godel is preparing to embark on an international recruitment drive after achieving annual turnover growth of 62%.

The Manchester-based firm pulled in more than £9m during the 12 months to December 2016, up from £5.5m the year previous.

Among the firm’s biggest client wins last year were tour operator Virgin Holidays, British airline Jet2 and car hire business Rentalcars.

Now, Godel intends to recruit 100 people during 2017 across its offices in Manchester and Minsk, Belarus. The move will bring its global workforce to 450.

Godel chief exec Neil Turvin commented: “Our clients have one thing in common – the need for technology to scale at the same rate or faster than their market and business demands.

“Quality of our software development is paramount over scale alone. Whether they need high quality resource to supplement an existing team internally, or they need to create a brand new high performing software development team, Godel provides the ‘agile’ skill set, technology expertise and manpower to deliver the solution quickly.”

The company has partly attributed the growth to technology trends such as the rising need for organisations to make data-driven decisions, which Godel said multiplied the demand for its business intelligence software skills ten-fold in 2016.

Speaking further, Neil said: “In 2017 technology is the business – digitisation has taken hold in every industry and provides a platform for increased commercial success – we are there to help organisations deliver it quickly and efficiently.”
