SaaS firm Pimberly to create 15 jobs at new Manchester HQ

Software company Pimberly has revealed plans to create over a dozen jobs at its new base in Manchester.

The company, now headquartered in St James’s Tower, will double its headcount in 2017 by taking on around 15 members of staff.

The roles available will be in marketing, software development, business development and customer on-boarding.

Pimberly provides a SaaS product information management (PIM) platform for retailers, distributors, suppliers and manufacturers as they deal with increasing volumes of product data across multiple channels and regions.

The company said its aim is to disrupt the way organisations manage product information by offering an alternative to the services of industry heavyweights such as SAP and Oracle.

Pimberly is part of the Jigsaw24 Group and backed by private equity house NorthEdge Capital.

From its new Manchester HQ, the firm is eventually looking to expand into Europe, the US, China and Australasia.

Jigsaw24 Group CEO Martin Balaam said: “Manchester is a great place to be an early stage tech company, with a growing local economy, significant inward investment and a buzz surrounding initiatives such as Tech North and the Northern Powerhouse.

“We have an opportunity to create a world class SaaS solution right here in the North of England.”

He continued: “To do this we need to recruit the best people to meet our ambitious growth targets, both in the UK and internationally. Manchester is bursting with talent so it’s the obvious place to be.

“The region also has some of the UK’s most exciting retailers, distributors and manufacturers and we want to be right at the heart of that community.
