Manchester recruiter Start People to take on 10 new staff
Recruitment company Start People Ltd is expanding its North West team following a year of triple-digit growth.
The company, which recently reported an increase of over 250% in both profit and turnover, will create around 10 new jobs in Manchester in 2017.
Start People said it will focus on expanding the teams in its established divisions to cope with an increasing demand from clients, while also increasing its footprint in the energy sector.
David Edwards, director of Start People, commented: “We have significant financial targets for the business over the coming three years. A great foundation has been established and the priority now is to grow the teams and the talent.
“The markets have responded incredibly over the first two years of trading in terms of demand for the services we are offering.”
He continued: “Some of the partnerships we have developed have delivered great opportunity but promise so much more. We need to ensure we are positioned well with the resources to exploit them to their full potential.
“At the same time we are an entrepreneurial team and are looking for other ideas, people and markets we can back and develop.”
Start People provides recruitment services for the engineering, automotive and fast-moving consumer goods sectors from its Manchester HQ and additional offices in Durham and Birmingham.
Founded in 2015, the firm has since grown its employee count to 23. The business said it is already “significantly ahead” of its £6m turnover target for the year.
