Merthyr shopping centre giving free space to local groups
The popular Your Community Day is returning to St Tydfil Shopping on Saturday 16th June and once again clubs, community groups and charities are being offered free space to showcase their activities and services.
The aim of the day is to give people in the local area the chance to find out more about the wide range of activities available in Merthyr.
Groups can apply to have a free stand allowing them to interact with visitors to the shopping centre and there will also be a demonstration area, so whether a youth group is looking to increase its members, a sports club would like to perform a demonstration, a charity wants to raise awareness, or a dance group fancies showing off their skills, St Tydfil Shopping Centre would like to hear from them.
Julie Calderbank, Operations Manager at St Tydfil Shopping Centre, commented: “The centre is ideally located to hold events that bring the Merthyr community together. This will be our third Your Community Day and the previous events have really highlighted what great activities are available in our town. The space we’re able to offer is limited, so we would encourage groups to contact us to book space sooner rather than later.”
Groups that would like to be part of Your Community Day can contact St Tydfil Shopping Centre by emailing StTydfil@pmwcom.co.uk. Space is limited so will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Free space will not be available to commercial enterprises.
