Home care company wins regional business award

A company that provides care and support services to people in their own homes has been named as the best in the North-East.

Caremark Redcar and Cleveland was named best regional business at the recent Caremark national conference.

The company beat off competition from 11 other Caremark franchises across the Northern and Eastern region to scoop the award, which was presented at an event attended by 100 Caremark offices from across the UK.

Charles Folkes, the Managing Director of Caremark Redcar & Cleveland, said he was delighted to accept the award on behalf of his team.

He said: “Our success is testament to the dedication and professionalism of our care workers and office team – we really couldn’t have done it without them.

“As we continue to develop our business and set new initiatives in place, our clients remain at the centre of everything we do and we’ll continue to offer the best quality standard of care.”

David Glover, the Managing Director of Caremark, said: “Caremark Redcar & Cleveland is a real leader on so many levels. Charles and the team have once again achieved impressive growth throughout last year without compromising their quality of service.

“As a team, they have shown the vision and drive to be innovative and community-centred with Charles serving as a great ambassador for Caremark. “Their active involvement with members of the community promises great things – I’m excited to see what 2019 has in store.”

Caremark Redcar & Cleveland was established in August 2008 and has grown to become one of the biggest and most successful in the Caremark network.

It employs 230 people and provides 5,000 hours of care per week to adults and children across East Cleveland and Middlesbrough. The company is one of only 2% of home care providers in the UK to have an outstanding rating from its regulator, the Care Quality Commission.
