European expansion for Learnlight with acquisition of German firm
Global language training provider Learnlight has announced the acquisition of German company Arenalingua.
Following its merger of Ispeakuspeak and Training Express as well as the acquisition of Communicaid, London based Learnlight’s acquisition of the German firm forms part of the company’s strategy for further expansion into Europe.
Benjamin Joseph, CEO of Learnlight, commented: “We are thrilled to have acquired Arenalingua.
“Arenalingua is a company which shares our obsession with quality and will be a perfect platform for us to continue our work with large German companies on their path towards digital transformation.”
With offices in German cities Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich and Stuttgart, Arenalingua provides government-sponsored English language courses as well as German training for qualified migrants and professionals in specialist areas like medicine, healthcare and engineering.
The acquisition will grow the Learnlight team to more than 3,000 trainers in over 150 countries, as well as enabling the company to benefit from Arenalingua’s existing relationships with global clients such as Sky, Ernst & Young and Adidas.
Rüdiger Rettberg, former owner of Arenalingua, added: “I am delighted that the quality and the concept of Arenalingua will now continue within the Learnlight Group.”
He continued: “Through Learnlight, Arenalingua will now have, at its disposal, the full portfolio of a leading blended platform for delivering digital and virtual programmes, as well as comprehensive global coverage. This, together with the market expertise of Arenalingua, ideally positions Learnlight for exponential growth.”
