B38 Group wins contract for digital-meets-physical auction experience
Wakefield firm B38 Group has secured a three year contract for the facilities management of vehicle remarketing firm Aston Barclay’s new site.
B38 Group will provide a total facilities management service to Aston Barclay’s site, including ‘hard’ technical building services as well as cleaning and other ‘soft’ services.
Opened in January, the 70,000 sq ft ‘mega centre’ in Normanton comprises two glass-fronted auction halls, space for 2,500 cars, leisure and meeting room facilities and a restaurant, and is part of the company’s strategy to combine digital technology with the traditional vehicle auction experience.
Martin Potter, managing director of Aston Barclay explained: “We chose B38 Group because it is able to provide a complete TFM service across both hard and soft services, and we were also impressed by the company’s commitment to providing in-house delivery, giving it greater control and ensuring consistently high levels of customer care.”
Steve Trott, who leads B38 Group’s soft services division, added: “Aston Barclay is pioneering an exciting approach, bridging the gap between a digital and physical auction environment.
“Open daily and with three auctions a week, there’s a huge number of people visiting and we’re enjoying the challenge of keeping Europe’s most modern vehicle auction centre looking and operating at its best.”
