Anthony Mackle, Newby

Property developer, Newby has appointed Anthony Mackle as director of sales and marketing.

Anthony spent almost a decade at regeneration specialist Urban Splash, before moving on to roles as head of sales at CITU and group sales manager at The Parklane Group. His most recent position was sales director at Manchester-based Step Places.

39-year old Anthony, who lives in Harrogate, will direct the sales and marketing team, creating an engaging and consistent brand and seamless customer experience.

Anthony said: “It was clear that Newby had some great developments underway and having visited them the quality and high specification of the homes was very apparent.

“Working on such great projects is always very appealing, especially when they are all so varied - from a converted mill in the Yorkshire Dales to a luxurious apartment building right in the centre of York.

“Newby is an ambitious company with an exciting period ahead, and I very much look forward to being an integral part of that.”

Hayley Clayton and Giovanni di Cosmo, Tailor-Made Media

Tailor-Made Media has appointed Hayley Clayton and Giovanni di Cosmo to its senior management team, joining the business with immediate effect.

Hayley joins Tailor-Made Media as client services director. In her role, she will be on hand to oversee the delivery of client campaigns.

Hayley said, “I’m really pleased to join the Tailor-Made Media family. The opportunity to work with some wonderful campaigns across a broad portfolio is very exciting and one I couldn’t turn down.”

Moving from Manchester to York to take up the role of digital director, Giovanni has worked in search, social and PR agencies for 10 years.

He added: “I’m so pleased to have secured a position in an agency that understands and harnesses all areas of marketing to produce the best possible outcome for its clients.

“I’m grateful and excited to work as part of what I consider to be the best team this side of the Pennines, for clients who already see the bottom-line impact that Tailor-Made Media has made on their business.”

Aziza Yessi, The Grand, York

Aziza Yessi has been appointed as sales manager at The Grand, York.

Aziza has worked in five-star establishments globally, with previous roles in Europe and Asia. She brings a comprehension of the international market and inbound tourism to her role at The Grand, York.

Speaking on her appointment, Aziza said: “I am thrilled to take on this role in such a landmark venue and can’t wait to start applying the knowledge of international markets that I have acquired throughout my career to this stunning venue.

“The team have been wonderfully welcoming and prospective guests are hugely positive about the hotel which is brilliant to experience already.”

Lisa Leighton and Hamish Morrison, BHP

Joint managing partners have taken up position at Yorkshire and North Derbyshire’s leading accountancy firm.

Audit partner Lisa Leighton and corporate finance partner Hamish Morrison took the reins at BHP - which has offices in Sheffield, Cleckheaton and Leeds - on April 1.

Lisa began at BHP as a graduate in 1995 and Hamish joined BHP Corporate Finance as partner in 2012 with 20 years of experience in the sector. Each will maintain responsibility for their current portfolio of clients.

Outgoing managing partner of 10 years, John Warner, will continue at the firm full-time as senior partner to manage his portfolio of clients.

John said: “BHP’s history is built on the ability to continuously adapt and stay at the forefront of the industry. It’s with this ethos that we continue to thrive today and I am fully confident in this next step for our business.

“My two highly qualified colleagues will inject a new wave of dynamism and drive to the firm, building on our strong foundations and leading us confidently into the next decade.”
